Churches are confused. There appears to be no consensus on what function the church serves in the world. Building up believers, evangelizing the lost, feeding the poor, lobbying government, and protesting legislation are just a few of the functions churches feel compelled to perform. Rick Warren recognized…

By Pastor Glenn Pease The Chinese once started to kill all the sparrows because they were eating so much rice and seed. They reasoned that this was a waste and they would be better off without them. But then they discovered they were losing more food without them than with them. The birds not only ate…
When Christians think about the Great Commission they think about Matt 28:18-20. But there are actually five other passages where Jesus commissions us. When we examine each of these six passages we come away with a far more detailed and complete idea of our mission in this world. We find six very important ideas: Jesus is The Master Builder, Jesus is The Model, The Magnitude is significant, Jesus gives The Method, Jesus gives The Message, and the Holy Spirit provides The Means.
The title of the sermon is “Called, Convinced, Commissioned,” and the wording there could even be re-arranged if you want. It could be Called, Commissioned, Convinced, or even Convinced, Called, Commissioned. The order is not what is important here. What is important is our living a life in obedience…

Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge. Since they did not know the righteousness that comes from God and sought to establish their own, they did not…

Abiding in Christ
Why is Christ in You? 15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood, Christ is in you for them 35 Then Jesus went about all the…
New Year: New You in Christ
Matthew 28:16-20 But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples…

The Corinthian Correspondence
Pastor Glenn • Grace United Family Church • Sermon • • 49 views • 42:25
What is it about 1 and 2 Corinthians that endears us to them? Is it the love chapter (1 Cor. 13)? Or the encouragement and comfort that God gives us when we are afflicted that we may comfort others with the affliction that he gave us (2 Cor. 1)? Perhaps it's because of the massive problems the Corinthian church had and when we compare ourselves to them we can think, "I'm glad I'm not as bad as them"! There are many reasons why Paul wrote what he did. When we fail to take into account Paul's passion for God's glory and the cultural landscape from which the Corinthian believes emerged, we can come up with some pretty strange ideas when we read and study the Corinthain correspondence. Come with the Grace United crew as we attempt to set the stage to understand Paul's letters to his beloved Corinthians.

TEOTWAWKI--ring a bell? The end of the world as we know it. There was a time in world history that actually happened--the flood. What happened immediately after? Only incredible, grace and mercy filled things! God gave us the concept of government, so that we would not destroy ourselves. He literally painted for us an uncondition promise in the sky that he would never destroy the earth with a flood--he introduced us to his rainbow. And he also showed us, through Noah, how desperately we need a Savior. Join the Grace United crew as we talk about God's reset of his world in the aftermath of the Flood.

Learn what "disciple-making" means as Matthew 4:13 becomes the launching point. Jesus taught the disciples to share the Word, show the Word, teach the Word and serve the World. Two simple words, but a lifetime of modeling the Person of Christ.
