We came to the Apple Store and I noticed a sign like this advertising Puma Tennis Shoes. Pumagility – Get a Move on. The advertisement read, “These…

We deal with demons in this world by telling others that Jesus is stronger than the evil in our lives. We can overcome evil forces in life by proclaiming the power Christ has had over our own darkness.

The Country of Switzerland has become known for being a nation that remains neutral in the midst of international conflict. This is such a well known fact that the term “Switzerland” has become a synonym for the term “neutral.” There are many who seek to take a position of neutrality in regards to Jesus…

I had two friends who decided to join the army at the same time… in fact they were going to be attending boot camp together as well! Both prepared differently… One decided to begin to run, workout, do push-ups, and be ready when the day came for them to go. The other decided that the Army always gears…
What are demons mentioned in the Bible? The word “devil” simply means “doubt.” Demons are generally the minions of the Devil. So you can interpret them as little doubts under the big doubt. Doubts produce anxiety and anxiety breaks relationships. In this sermon, Sam Stone explains how demon possession is manifested in broken relationships. Do you have demons that need to be cast out? Let's take a look!
If Jesus had all power and authority in heaven and on earth (and he did, just as he promised and proved), then why did he spend so much time talking? That leads us to ask as well, "What did Jesus come to do?" Mark tells us in his Gospel and Pastor Metzger explains in his sermon.

Christmas has just happened, and it’s all we talk about. We see each other and some of the first words out of our mouths are, How was your Christmas? I’m never really sure what the question is or what kind of answer we want. Do we want to talk about the gifts we’ve received as if they are loot from a…

Intro – Reality is comprised of 3 spheres of influence – the world of Satan and demons, the world of God and good angels and the world of mankind. Behind the veil of our physical perception, a battle rages between God and Satan for our souls. The outcome is not in doubt. One day God will bring history…

A Scary Story with a Happy Ending There are a lot of things that are scary in this world. One of which is the $ amount that is spent on the horror industry. Movies are just one part. The video gaming industry even with the difficult economy continues to grow and one big segment of that is the horror…
The Gospel of Luke
Jesus' evident power over evil supernatural forces raises questions. In explaining its source, Jesus shows us behind the curtain of the supernatural battle raging in our world - and he shows us we must join one side or the other - there's no middle ground.

The balance of ones eternal destiny is placed in a dangerous state when one sees and hears the Word of God, the Truth and turns a deaf ear to it and rejects it all because it does not fit their ideal or the objectives they hold dear. Jesus soon would stand before Pilate as Jesus shares of His Kingdom…
This week Pastor Alex continued the series "Graduate in the Spirit". Pastor Alex preached from Mark 5:1-20, talking about the demon possessed man in Gerasa. Pastor Alex brought forth a two-fold sermon on Deliverance. One from the perspective of the sinner and the other from the perspective of the saint. Pastor Alex said two reasons it's hard for sinners to truly get delivered. One reason is because of the environment and people they surround themselves with. The other reason is because the evil spirits on the inside are stronger than the person. The second part of the sermon dealing with the saints, Pastor Alex dealt with the question, "Why do I still feel trapped by the devil even why I'm doing everything right?" Pastor Alex then refered to Job, Paul and Silas, and Jesus Christ as examples of people who did nothing wrong, but was still trapped and imprisoned by the enemy. Listen and Be Blessed!

Upon seeing Jesus' majestic, royal authority, three different characters beg Him for different kinds of mercy. The only one who begs for the right mercy doesn’t get it, not because Jesus is a mean God but because He is a missionary God.
That You May Believe: A Chronicling of the Life of Christ
Pastor Mauldin relates one man's experience of desperation with the need of all mankind while appealing to the church to continue in both compassion for the lost and believing in the keeping joy of our testimonies.
In the last week, there have been frequent comparisons between the emerging coronavirus crisis and outbreaks of plague in previous centuries: the Spanish Influenza of 1918, which infected a quarter of the world’s people, or the Black Death, which is estimated to have killed half of the population of…
The Gospel of Mark
Jesus heals a demon-possessed man and restores him to his community. This is a hard story for many of us to hear. We'd rather not think about demons or impure spirits. We don't know what to do with people who are excluded by their family or society because of mental illness. We'd rather not come face-to-face with the powers that control us. But Jesus' name is powerful. Jesus crosses the sea of Galilee and confronts the powers of evil on their territory. And Jesus wins. Because he is powerful. That is scary for the people who witness Jesus' power. They'd rather send him away than see his power change everything about their lives. What about you? Come and listen! Be transformed by word and worship of Jesus Christ.
Outcasts - Luke: a Gospel for the Rejected
Luke's gospel guides us through a day in the life of Jesus at Capernaum, where we find the people amazed at the authority of His preaching and teaching and the authority by which He delivers from darkness and illness. But what's even more amazing is Jesus' compassion for those who are afflicted, showing us that Jesus can address our afflictions, because He has amazing authority and compassion for this task.
Our text this morning may be one of the most difficult encounters with Jesus in the Gospels. Nothing about the way Jesus treats with the Canaanite woman seems to match our understanding of whom Jesus is. We know that Jesus is full of compassion, love, and mercy. We know that he answers the cries of all…

Words are powerful things. That is because they represent concepts. And kingdoms are often built on concepts. Our nation began with a concept of “no taxation without representation.” That concept led to the writing of the Declaration of Independence in which these words were immortalized: We hold these…

In the Scriptures, whenever the Holy Spirit comes upon someone, it usually follows that the person opens his mouth and begins to prophesy. The Holy Spirit always testifies of Christ. So it’s no surprise that a man possessed by a demon, by an unholy spirit, would be mute, unable to speak. Satan hates…
