Anyone who is a sports enthusiast has had the experience of heading home or turning off the television because your team was desperately behind or comfortably ahead, only to discover later in the day that your team did not lose or win as you were expecting. These times prove the old adage that the game…
The Gospel of Luke
Jesus tells us a story of reversal in the afterlife? What are we to learn? The king demands generous stewardship; there are consequences to ignoring his design; and what's needed to change the direction of a life isn't more information or evidence, but a change of heart.

Highway to Hell My very first CD was AC/DC’s High Voltage. I was a big fan, and, guiltily, still enjoy a little Back in Black or Dirty Deeds and a done dirt cheap from time to time. How often do we listen to songs without ever paying attention to the lyrics? In 1979, AC/DC released the album “Highway…

Misjudging Heaven CS Lewis once said “If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.” He was making the point that each and every one of us desire something more than this world we live in will ever be able to offer…

Life of Samuel
Samuel, the prophet and judge of Israel, is now dead and buried. You would think that his story would be over. But, in one of the more unusual events recorded in Scripture, there is one last tale to be told, with important lessons to learn about the unseen spiritual realm and life after death. An expository sermon from 1 Sam. 28:3-20. The sermon begins at 33:15.
MARK: THE SERVANT WHO WAS OUR SAVIOR
DON'T BE DEAD WRONG ABOUT LIFE AFTER DEATH. Nearly every culture has possessed some type of belief in the afterlife. A nineteenth-century professor at Yale University named James Dwight Dana summed up this hope of abiding life when he said I do not believe that God would create man and then desert him…
Non-believers must focus solely on this life, because death is the end for them. As Christians, death is just the beginning of our eternal life of worship, in which every day is better than the last!
We are all headed for an eternity in Hell if our hope isn't in Christ. Hell is real, and it is torment. Thank God for Jesus Christ who saved us out of that dark and awful place
Created for Significance
I hope for the last few weeks I have given you something to think about. You have been created by God for something significant. Today, I want to conclude this series by looking at the life to come. The last parable in these 3 chapters of Luke that we have been looking at for the last few weeks is a…

PRESENTATION: The fear of death When I was attending St. Peter’s Seminary in London, those in the Philosophy Program obviously majored in philosophy, but their program did permit for taking a small number of elective courses. Afterlife Afterlife refers to an existence after physical death. The concept encompasses the notions of whether a being has a life force (such as soul or spirit) that continues to exist after death and where that soul or spirit goes after death.
Pastor Tim non-series
Have you ever had a day that suddenly took a left turn and derailed all your plans? Most of us have. The good news is, even when this happens, God is watching over us, none of it comes as a surprise to Him, and He uses these events to draw us closer to Him, as we learn in this sermon from Phil. 1:12-26. Sermon begins at 21:00.

Intro – Steve Jobs, who founded Apple Computer, died of pancreatic cancer in 2011 at age 56. He apparently died with little hope. Speaking of an afterlife he said, “Sometimes I think it’s just like an onoff switch. Click and you’re gone – and that’s why I don’t like putting onoff switches on Apple devices.”…
Do you remember what Jesus told His disciples about when He would return? Jesus said, “But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come” (Mark 13:32–33). Do you remember the promise the angels shared as Jesus ascended? “This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven” (Acts 1:11). Be on guard, keep awak
The Good Place... Or is it?
Alexander Lundbohm (Zeek) • Sermon • • 8 views
The Good place is individualistic- you can spend as many “Jeremy Berimys” learning everything there is to know but as long as eternity is “you” focused it will never be the good place. Eventually you will always get bored and you will want out. Just like the characters in the show.. That is why immortality is often seen as a curse in the media. What makes Heaven so different is that it has nothing to do with you or me. It is all about Christ. It is all about worshipping Jesus forever and that will never get old. When we take the focus off of ourselves and put it on Jesus that is when we will be most content. No amount of learning, experiencing, or fun will ever stack up to an eternity in the Presence of Jesus.
