Jesus taught us again through Mark 10:35-45 God’s principle of leadership. Human beings are not created to handle the power and position they are not predestined to handle. It’s dangerous to covet the ranks and roles, and race to climb the corporate ladder because “power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” That is human nature. That’s how we are created. We do well by enjoying where we are and leading from there by serving.

Hebrews: Jesus is Better
To run the Christian life well, we need to stay healthy. Hebrews 13 describes how we can keep our faith healthy by following leaders who lived and finished their race demonstrating an unwavering devotion to their unchanging Lord. We need those examples and that same foundational focus because there's no shortage of false teaching out there that would threaten our undivided allegiance to Christ alone.

Perfect relationships don't exist, so when the struggles continue, we are often left with bitterness; never wanting to have meaningful relationships again. So instead of getting bitter and angry, we need to apply the salve of grace and allow God to work in and through us.
