But God . . . (Ephesians 2:4-9) Introduction A Buddhist Monk strode into a Zen pizza parlor (do we have those in Eaton? I don’t think I’ve seen one. Probably only in LA). Trusting in Christ and our good works for salvation is not trusting in Christ at all. We have to give everything up as far as our good works, our religion, our morality in order to receive Christ as our Savior.
Is work by man required for salation? If so, do the works of man earn him salvation? Is God also involved in our salvation? If works are required by man, what works are required?

No one can save themselves, only by God's grace, his unmerited favor, can anyone be saved. Only through faith in Jesus Christ can we enter into God's grace and be saved to eternal life.
With the entire process of salvation by grace through faith being the gift of God, that means we are a new creation of God (HIs workmanship) in Christ. No more boasting, no more blaming - we're all in the same boat and brought together by a common experience of death and life. We are saved BY grace, FOR good works. These good works are especially prepared for us as we are God's unique work of art displaying a part of Himself. So everything we do can be seen as a God's special mission for us.

Is it Enough? Karma - I’ll have multiple chances to get it right. If not in this life, then in the next. Penance - I pray and suffer in hopes that it will be enough. Guessing - I don’t know. Hopefully I got it right in this life. Sacrifice/Suffering - I suffered enough in this life to warrant God’s favor.…

Intro – Truly saved. That is the theme of this passage. It asks and answers 3 great questions – Who is Jesus? (18-20); What Did He Do? (21-22); and What Must I Do? There is no salvation if we deny the deity of Christ. That’s the cost to God the Father – He gave His Son. There is no salvation if Jesus…

What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? Jesus fulfilled the Torah, the law, and fulfilled and is fulfilling the prophets. Though the coming of the Messiah is the end of the law for righteousness, it is in the law that we see God, we learn His heart, we find out who He is and we are transformed as we see Him, as we see Jesus, in the writings. Jesus leaned on the scriptures, Paul leaned on the scriptures, we can to. Christian, make sure you're saved, then read your Bible. Keep reading your Bible. God will teach You His Way. Recorded at Refuge TLH on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Getting Ready or "While we wait" *So what do we do while we're waiting for the Lord to come and get us? Does the Bible tell us anything about how we should be preparing for the rapture?
