According to Nury Vittachi, real atheists might not exist. He says that Cognitive scientists are concluding from their research that “a metaphysical outlook may be so deeply ingrained in human thought processes that it cannot be expunged.” They believe that even people who reject the God of organized…
What Would Jesus Undo
The Danger of Hypocrisy Hypocrisy. It’s when hands lifted in praise have been earlier used for sin. It’s when lips proclaiming praise had hours earlier been used for insults. It’s when one’s reputation and one’s character are vastly different. The Pharisees were condemned for their hypocrisy. We read the stories of their encounters with Jesus and shake our heads at how far off they were from the truth without realizing that that is why they were condemned in the first place. Today, we need to evaluate and see if our lifestyle is different than that of the hypocritical Pharisees. Are we living lives of integrity? Read Jesus’ words in Matthew 15:1-9. Jesus condemned the Pharisees because they were more focused on people breaking their traditions than God’s commandments. It infuriated them that Jesus’ disciples did not follow protocol when it came to washing of hands and the manner in which they ate. Jesus was exhausted from their unwillingness to see the big picture.

From: http://evans-experientialism.freewebspace.com/florry024.htm Is there a purpose to life? I know as soon as I use the word 'purpose' that I've made a mistake - I've fallen into the trap of using the concept of 'intention' which suggests volition or some kind of aim on the part of matter. That is…

Paradise. What a concept. What a word! What conjures up in your mind when you hear "Paradise"? The Lord through His angel gave John the Apostle-turned-prophet a tiny glimpse of Paradise. And not only him, but the Lord's angel gave another prophet a vision almost identical to what God gave John. Who was that prophet? Why did the Lord do this? And what is Paradise like, anyway? What will God's people be doing in Paradise for all eternity? Join the Grace United Crew as we delight and marvel at God's description and our very job description in Paradise.

When I was a youth, the planetarium had an annual program that explained the “Star of Bethlehem” Johannes Kepler, a Reformation era astronomer and mathematician, calculated that Jupiter and Saturn aligned in 7 b.c. This rare light became the reason the wise men left in search of Jesus. Others believe…

When Albert Einstein was asked if he believed in God, here was his response: "I'm not an atheist. I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many languages.…
